Rising Star in Environmental Chemistry Award

About this program

The ACS Division of Environmental Chemistry (American Chemical Society) annually awards the Rising Star in Environmental Chemistry Award—a plaque and $2,000 plus recognition at the Fall ACS National Meeting—to an early-career investigator who has demonstrated outstanding promise in environmental chemistry. Nominees must be within the first ten years of an independent research career following their PhD/postdoctoral positions and have at least three years of ENVR membership; nominations must be made by an ENVR member (self-nominations accepted). Selection is based on research independence, creativity, impact, and service to ENVR, and nominations must be submitted as a single PDF containing nominator and nominee details, the nominee’s ACS and ENVR membership info, a ≤1,000-word nomination letter, two ≤1,000-word letters of support, and a CV up to five pages. Nominations are accepted August 1–October 1; late or incomplete packages will not be considered.
