Rome Prize Fellowship in Landscape Architecture (GCA/Prince Charitable Trusts)

The American Academy in Rome, in partnership with the Garden Club of America and Prince Charitable Trusts, offers the Rome Prize Fellowship in Landscape Architecture to support U.S. landscape architects and related professionals for advanced study, travel, and a one‑year residential fellowship at the Academy on Janiculum Hill. Full‑term fellowships generally run from early/mid‑September to July and include a stipend, meals, a private bedroom with bath, and a private workspace. Applicants must be U.S. citizens; undergraduate students and previous Rome Prize Fellows are ineligible, and only one GCA scholarship/fellowship/award may be applied for annually. Applications are submitted via the Academy’s website and must be received at the Academy’s New York office by November 1 for the proposed year (application fee $50; Nov 2–15 submissions accepted with an additional late fee).
