Roshen N. Irani Research Grant

About this program

Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America’s Roshen N. Irani Research Grant awards up to $20,000 annually (one grant per year) for 1–2 year projects that either advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in pediatric orthopaedic surgery or address any pediatric orthopaedic topic led by a POSNA member from an underrepresented group; the award is supported by a $1.1 million endowment. Applicants must be Active, Associate, Candidate Active, or Candidate Associate POSNA members in good standing, and no letter of intent is required. Current POSNA grant recipients (except microgrant recipients) are ineligible to apply as PI or co-investigator until existing projects and final reports are complete, with limited exceptions; applications are assessed on significance, innovation, scientific quality, feasibility, investigator track record, potential for future funding, and promotion of broad participation or underrepresented areas.
