RSTMH Early Career Grants Programme

About this program

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) offers the Early Career Grants Programme providing up to £5,000 (including any taxes) to support first-time research projects in tropical medicine and global health across the spectrum (laboratory, translational, implementation, policy), with projects to be completed within one year. Awards target early career researchers worldwide who have not previously held a research grant of £5,000 or more in their own name and projects must start within three months of receiving funding. The programme has run for over 40 years with more than 800 awards since 2017; note that 2025 applications are closed and the scheme is paused for 2026.
