Rural Access to Anesthesia Care Scholarship

About this program

American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) offers the Rural Access to Anesthesia Care Scholarship to support third- and fourth-year U.S. medical students in completing a rural anesthesia rotation with a designated mentor, providing a stipend up to $500 for travel and lodging. Applicants must be medical student members of ASA, enrolled in an approved U.S. medical program, and must secure a mentor at a listed rural site prior to application. To apply, contact a mentor from the program website to discuss interest and submit the online application according to quarterly deadlines (by Jan 1 for rotations starting March 1 or later; Apr 1 for June 1 or later; Jul 1 for Sept 1 or later; Oct 1 for Dec 1 or later).
