Rural Climate Partnership Grant Program (LOI; rolling)

About this program

Rural Climate Partnership, a foundation, provides rolling Letter of Inquiry–based grants for equitable, community-focused climate projects and general operating support for rural-led and rural-serving organizations, typically awarding $20,000–$100,000 for projects and $75,000–$150,000 for operating support. Eligible applicants are U.S.-based nonprofits, public agencies, religious organizations, tribal governments, and national organizations with a distinct rural focus that are based in and directly serving rural communities, small towns, and small cities under 50,000 (priority given to communities with population density under 10,000). The funder does not support organizations/projects based outside the U.S., individual scholarships, capital campaigns, endowments, organizations that discriminate, or projects with an urban focus or primarily serving populations above 50,000; LOIs must be submitted via the online form and are reviewed year-round with typical responses in six to fifteen weeks.
