About this program

NASW Foundation’s Ruth Fizdale Program funds pilot research projects led by NASW Chapters that link practice and policy to social issues to improve human service delivery, supporting needs assessments, initial research findings, or supplements that add new components. The program typically awards up to two one-time grants of up to $3,000 each, with recipients announced in June. Eligible applicants are NASW Chapters only; applications must include a one-page fact sheet (chapter and project contact details) and a proposal summary (up to three pages) describing objectives, relevance/significance, design/methodology, an itemized budget, and expected completion date. A final report including an evaluation is required upon project completion.
