Sabbatical Program (Rasmuson Foundation)

About this program

The Rasmuson Foundation offers the Sabbatical Program to provide Alaska-based nonprofit and tribal leaders with a $50,000 grant for a 90- to 120-day sabbatical, supporting rest, personal renewal, and long-term leadership sustainability. The funding covers travel, personal growth activities, and interim staff compensation. Eligibility is limited to full-time executive directors or tribal administrators of Alaska 501(c)(3) nonprofits or tribal entities, with at least 7 years of nonprofit/tribal experience and 5 years in their current role, who commit to returning to their position for at least one year post-sabbatical. Applications for 2026 sabbaticals open on June 13, 2025, and close on August 13, 2025.
