San Francisco Section Award

About this program

The Electrochemical Society’s San Francisco Section Award recognizes distinguished contributions to electrochemical science and technology and/or solid-state science and technology, as well as service, education, and professional advancement. The award includes an engraved plaque and a $2,000 prize, and recipients are invited to deliver a general address at an ECS or section meeting. Individuals or teams residing in California or the southwestern states are eligible, with active ECS membership required and San Francisco Section membership preferred. Nominations may come from industry, government, or academia and must include an electronic nomination form and publications, with CVs, nomination letters, and up to five support letters permitted; nominations are accepted October 15 through January 15 in alternating years.
