About this program
The Electrochemical Society’s San Francisco Section offers the Daniel Cubicciotti Student Award to support Northern California students pursuing careers in the physical sciences or engineering. The award includes a plaque and a $2,000 educational-expense prize, with honorable mentions receiving up to $500; nominations are accepted annually from October 15 through January 15. Eligible applicants are full- or part-time graduate or advanced undergraduate students in good standing at Northern California institutions, studying metallurgy, materials science, chemical engineering, or chemistry and conducting research or academic work involving electrochemistry. Nominations may be submitted by anyone familiar with the candidate and must include a nomination form, transcript, CV, research and personal-interest descriptions, and a faculty recommendation letter; ECS membership is not required.
