Schlemmer, Chuck Memorial Scholarship Fund – College Scholarship

About this program

Community Foundation of Noble County administers the Schlemmer (Chuck) Memorial Scholarship Fund, awarding one $1,000 one-time scholarship annually to a West Noble High School graduate attending a 4-year public college or university to be used for tuition, books, and academic fees (not housing). Applicants must be seeking a bachelor’s degree at an accredited 4-year public institution with a college GPA of 3.00 or higher; preference is given to students pursuing social studies (anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, sociology) or those who have completed at least one season of cross country or track. Candidates must apply via the Community Foundation of Noble County/GrantInterface (CFNC Main Application) and submit required essays, references, activities, and an additional essay describing how endurance helped them overcome a difficulty or achieve a goal. Required documents must be submitted by January 14, 2027 at 11:00 PM; one scholarship is awarded per year and recipients may reapply in future cycles.
