Scholars’ Publication Subventions

About this program

Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation’s Venetian Research Program offers publication subventions to help disseminate research produced with its grants, including support for electronic publications. Eligible works are those whose research was carried out with a Delmas Venetian Research Program grant (or a substantial portion of a multi-author work) and must already be accepted by a reputable publisher; publishers apply with a statement and budget describing how subvention funds will improve the work’s quality, circulation, and pricing. Grants are made to publishers (normally $6,000, with additional support possible for higher costs), require acknowledgment of Foundation support plus a final report and proof of publication, and are reviewed on a rolling basis; publishers not qualifying as U.S. tax‑exempt organizations should contact the Foundation for guidance.
