Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Research Grant

About this program

The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP) offers small Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research grants to support projects at any stage (materials design, data collection, manuscript writing) that are likely to yield a product suitable for presentation or peer‑reviewed publication in a timely manner. Funds may be used for materials/supplies, participant incentives, travel for collaboration or presentation, and stipends, but awards are limited, typically divided among multiple recipients and may be partial. Eligible applicants are STP members who teach psychology at 4‑year or 2‑year colleges/universities or high schools; projects must demonstrate a high probability of producing presentable/publishable results and applications must follow STP awards and grants policies (STP login required). Applications are typically due November 1 for funding in the following calendar year, and the program encourages submissions from colleagues from underrepresented and diverse backgrounds.
