SEA-HVO Traveling Fellowship

About this program

The Society for Education in Anesthesia (SEA), through member donations, supports the SEA-HVO Traveling Fellowship, enabling senior anesthesia residents to spend one month teaching anesthesia at Health Volunteers Overseas sites in low-resource countries across Africa, Asia, and South America. Fellowship availability and the number of selected residents depend on annual contributions, with $4,000 needed by April to continue the program. Applicants must be senior anesthesia residents; typically 30–40 residents apply each year, with selections determined by the number of fellowships funded.
