Sempre ‘Making a Difference’ Award

Sempre, a professional society for music education, offers the occasional Sempre ‘Making a Difference’ Award to support individuals or groups developing new music-education initiatives for underserved communities; award amounts are negotiated relative to project needs and costs. Proposals are assessed by the Sempre Trustees on quality, originality, significance and likely impact, and applicants are normally informed within six weeks; awards should be commenced within 12 months unless otherwise negotiated. The award is open to anyone working in areas embraced by the Society’s aims; applicants should contact the Sempre Chair (Professor Graham Welch) with a written proposal detailing aims, leadership/management and proposed success criteria. Successful recipients must provide a brief outcomes report (including ethically approved images) for the Sempre website, and unclaimed awards without notification will lapse.
