Sensor Division Student Research Award

About this program

The Electrochemical Society (ECS) Sensor Division sponsors the Student Research Award (established 2021) to recognize outstanding graduate research in sensors; the award is presented at the ECS fall meeting and the recipient is expected to deliver a talk at the Sensor Division symposium. Award benefits include a framed certificate, USD $500, complimentary meeting registration, and a Sensor Division Business Luncheon ticket. Eligible nominees must be enrolled graduate students at the nomination deadline, hold current ECS membership with the Sensor Division as their primary division, and have at least one publication in an ECS journal relevant to the Sensor Division topical interests (with at least one as lead/contact author). Nomination packages (submitted annually Oct 15–Jan 15) require an electronic nomination form, CV, recent transcript, list of key papers meeting the publication requirement, and a nomination letter from the research supervisor (up to two additional letters optional); ECS Sensor Division Award Committee members may not submit nominations.
