About this program

The Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (SABA) offers the Sidney W. and Janet R. Bijou Grant, providing up to US$12,000 for doctoral student research on behavioral development within Bijou’s natural science framework. Projects should examine observable organism–environment interactions and behavioral processes related to child development, including appropriate basic or translational nonhuman research; disorder-specific treatment studies are not eligible. Applicants must be enrolled in or accepted to an eligible doctoral program, have at least six months remaining after funds are disbursed, and demonstrate appropriate faculty supervision and institutional resources. Applications, including a five-page proposal, biosketch, advisor and department resource letters, budget, and timeline, are due January 13, 2027; applicants may not apply for the Innovative Student Research Grant in the same year.
