Simon W. Freese Environmental Engineering Award & Lecture

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), via an endowed lectureship funded by Freese & Nichols in honor of Simon W. Freese, invites a distinguished individual to prepare a publishable presentation and deliver the Simon W. Freese Environmental Engineering Lecture at an ASCE meeting; the selected lecturer receives a certificate and an honorarium determined annually from the endowment. Nominations are submitted through the ASCE nomination form and must include a nominator-signed cover letter, the nominee’s CV or biographical information, and two or three letters of recommendation (maximum); selection is open to any distinguished person regardless of ASCE membership. The listed nomination deadline is October 1 (no year specified), and nominees not selected are held over for up to two additional cycles, after which a new nomination is required.
