SIOP Humanitarian Award

About this program

The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) awards the SIOP Humanitarian Award to an individual or team demonstrating significant humanitarian contributions that apply I‑O science and practice to improve human welfare or advance humanitarian I‑O theory and practice; the recipient receives a crystal trophy and $1,500. Eligible contributions include work with nonprofits, public service, international development, emergency response, initiatives promoting decent work and equity, or scholarship and outreach addressing societal problems, and nominations are judged on scope, impact, and duration. Nominees must be SIOP members; a SIOP member must submit a nomination letter (self‑nominations permitted) along with a current CV, 3–5 letters of support and any illustrative materials via the online portal, with combined CVs for teams and disclosure of any investigations under SIOP’s Anti‑Harassment Policy.
