Sioux City Public Schools Music Participation Grant Program

About this program

Siouxland Community Foundation administers the Sioux City Public Schools Music Participation Endowment Fund to award $1,000–$5,000 grants that enable low‑income Sioux City public school children to participate in instrumental and choral music programs, including individual lessons, activity fees, instrument rental/repair, and other costs that would otherwise prevent participation. Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations and Sioux City Public School District schools with programs that directly benefit low‑income SCPS students and remove financial barriers to music participation. Priority is given to projects that directly benefit individual students, leverage other resources or partnerships, and increase overall participation; applications open September 1 with a November 1 noon deadline and final determinations in December.
