Sir Patrick Manson Medal

About this program

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene awards the Sir Patrick Manson Medal, its highest distinction, every three years to a living individual whose contribution to any branch of tropical medicine or hygiene is judged by the RSTMH Board of Trustees to be most deserving. The honour is a bronze medal (no monetary prize), established to commemorate Sir Patrick Manson and his role in founding the Society. Nominations must be submitted exclusively by RSTMH members and Fellows, and nominees must also be RSTMH members and Fellows; the award is intended for senior experts in the field. The current nomination cycle is closed—the 2025 recipient, Professor Kevin Marsh, was announced at the RSTMH Annual Meeting; enquiries: nell.dasso@rstmh.org.
