SLB Travel Grant Program

About this program

The Society for Leukocyte Biology (SLB) offers need‑based Travel Grants to help SLB members with demonstrated financial hardship attend the society’s annual meeting. Applicants must be SLB members, submit an abstract, provide a personal statement of need and their anticipated costs, and supply a PI funding confirmation letter; only one applicant per lab may apply and labs exceeding the specified funding thresholds (more than 250 direct annual funds or 350 total current available funds) are ineligible. Grants are reviewed after merit awards so total support does not exceed actual travel costs; award amounts vary annually (guideline maximum up to $1,000, many receive about $400), hotel costs are generally considered at 50%, and full airfare/hotel coverage is granted only in rare cases.
