Small Grants for Small Food Pantries

About this program

Adirondack Community Foundation offers Small Grants for Small Food Pantries with one-time awards up to $1,500 to fund infrastructure and long-term improvements—such as freezers/refrigerators, shelving, technology upgrades, educational signage, or volunteer training—that increase fresh food options and volunteer capacity. Food purchases are explicitly ineligible. Eligible applicants are nonprofit- or municipality-operated food pantries and emergency food providers located in the Adirondack region (all of Clinton, Essex, Franklin and Hamilton counties and portions of St. Lawrence, Warren, Washington, Lewis, Fulton, Herkimer, and Saratoga counties within Adirondack Park, plus the Akwesasne Saint Regis Mohawk Reservation); organizations may apply once per fiscal year and large organizations should submit separate applications per pantry location. Applications are submitted via the Foundation’s Online Grants Manager and are reviewed on a rolling basis; direct questions to Leslee Mounger, Funds and Program Officer.
