About this program
The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) offers annual Student Paper Awards recognizing outstanding and original papers prepared and presented at SNAME or section meetings. Four awards are available: graduate and undergraduate Honor Prizes of $600 each and Paper Awards of $400 each, with recipients recognized at the annual SNAME Maritime Convention. Eligible papers must be prepared and presented by students enrolled at least one-third time in recognized undergraduate or graduate engineering programs; student authors must be SNAME members, while faculty may serve as co-authors. Self- or section-nominations must include the paper, nomination form, and eligibility biographical information and be submitted online by June 30.
