SNRS Distinguished Researcher Award

About this program

Offered by the Southern Nursing Research Society (SNRS), the SNRS Distinguished Researcher Award is an honorary recognition for an individual whose sustained program of research has enhanced the science and practice of nursing in the Southern region; the recipient may be asked to represent SNRS at the bi-annual CANS State of the Science Congress and must agree to attend the SNRS Annual Conference and potentially deliver a research presentation. Eligible nominees must be current SNRS members with a sustained publishing record and documented research and research-related contributions within the Southern region. Nominations must be submitted electronically by a current SNRS member as a single PDF including a nomination letter addressing the criteria, two letters of support (per provided guidelines), a 150-word nominee impact statement, signed consent to attend and present, full CV, and two published or in-press research articles. The SNRS Awards Committee reviews packets and makes final recommendations to the SNRS Board; no monetary amount is associated with the award.
