Social Justice and Public Interest/Public Policy Award for Early Career Professionals

The Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy (APA Division 29) invites nominations for the Social Justice and Public Interest/Public Policy Award to honor an Early Career Psychologist (≤10 years post‑doctorate) who has made significant contributions to social justice; the award provides a $500 honorarium plus up to $500 reimbursement for convention attendance (total up to $1,000). Eligible nominees must be members of the Society, within ten years post‑doctorate, and demonstrate sustained commitment to psychotherapy practice or research, community involvement, diversity, and measurable impact benefiting disenfranchised, disempowered, or oppressed groups. Both self‑nominations and nominations by others are accepted; submit a single PDF containing a nomination letter (by nominee or nominator), the nominee’s CV, and three letters of reference to SAP.AwardsCommittee@gmail.com by December 31 (annual deadline).
