Society of American Indian Dentists Dental Admission Test Prep Program

About this program

The Society of American Indian Dentists (SAID), with sponsorship from DentaQuest, offers scholarships for American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) undergraduate SAID student members to attend a Dental Admission Test (DAT) preparation program of their choice, covering the agreed-upon prep course, DAT testing fee, travel and hotel for testing and approved workshops, coaching and mentorship, and SAID conference travel/registration. Recipients are expected to take the DAT within six months of beginning the prep program and to apply to at least three dental schools. Eligible applicants must be AI/AN undergraduate members of SAID; SAID recommends completion of biology, chemistry, and organic chemistry prerequisites prior to the DAT and submission of dental school applications at least one year before intended matriculation. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis via the program’s online portal for U.S.-based students.
