Southeastern Branch John Henry Comstock Award

The Entomological Society of America’s Southeastern Branch and National Office offer the John Henry Comstock Award to recognize outstanding Ph.D. students in entomology and support attendance at the ESA annual meeting. The award includes an all-expenses-paid trip, a $100 cash prize, and certificate from ESA, plus a $200 cash prize and plaque from the Southeastern Branch.

Nominees must be current ESA Southeastern Branch student members pursuing a Ph.D. in entomology or have graduated no more than one year before the branch meeting, with demonstrated excellence in scholarship, research, teaching, presentations, awards, or service. Each department may nominate one student, and the nomination must include a cover page, departmental or advisor nomination letter, CV, research abstracts, and one faculty recommendation letter; complete submissions are due December 15 annually at 11:59 p.m. EST.
