SSCD Celiac Disease Young Investigator Development Award

About this program

The Society for the Study of Celiac Disease and the Celiac Disease Foundation offer this award to support promising early-career researchers pursuing independent basic, translational, or clinical celiac disease research. The award provides $75,000 annually in direct costs for up to two years, with no indirect costs permitted. Applicants must hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent degree, be active SSCD members, and hold a full-time faculty or equivalent position at a North American institution by fall 2026; they must generally be within five years of fellowship completion or PhD conferment. The sponsoring institution must provide at least 40% protected research and career-development time, and applications must include a research plan, career-development and mentorship plan, budget, biosketches, and mentor and institutional support letters.
