SSCP Dissertation Grant Award

About this program

SSCP offers annual Dissertation Grant Awards of $750 to support doctoral students whose dissertation proposals have departmental approval; up to five grants are awarded each year, with at least one reserved for research that advances diversity in clinical science. Applicants must be student members of SSCP, have an approved dissertation proposal (verified by an advisor’s recommendation), and current SSCP Board members or previous recipients are ineligible. Applications (due November 15, notifications in January) require a cover letter indicating DEI consideration if applicable, a 250-word abstract, a research plan (maximum 5 single‑spaced pages), a one‑page budget listing other funding, a CV, and an advisor’s letter uploaded directly by the advisor.
