St. Giles Young Investigator Award

About this program

POSNA, supported by the St. Giles Foundation, offers the St. Giles Young Investigator Award of up to $30,000 for 1–2 year educational research projects, with priority given to studies aligned with POSNA’s Clinical Research Agenda. Applications undergo a two‑stage review: proposals must first earn a highly competitive grant score, then top candidates submit CVs and personal narratives highlighting career goals, POSNA involvement, track record, research vision and potential for future funding. Eligible principal investigators must be POSNA Candidate or Active members in good standing with less than five years of practice as of January 1 of the submission year; non‑orthopaedic MDs, PhDs, or DVMs are eligible only if affiliated with an orthopaedic department and paired with a POSNA orthopaedic surgeon as Co‑PI. Current holders of other grants (except microgrant recipients) may not apply as PI or co‑investigator until their existing award is completed and final reports accepted.
