Steel Curriculum Development Grant

About this program

The **Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) Foundation** offers the **Steel Curriculum Development Grant** to support professors in enhancing or updating steel-related curriculum within specified engineering disciplines. The grant provides up to **US$25,000** over three years, with **US$10,000** annually for the first two years and **US$5,000** for the third year, to increase student engagement in steel-related studies and encourage careers in the iron and steel industry. Eligible applicants are **professors of engineering and engineering technology majors** (metallurgical, materials science, chemical, electrical, mechanical, industrial, environmental, and computer science) at **North American universities**. Proposals must include a detailed plan, budget, schedule, past involvement with steel plants, and proposed student involvement, with recipients required to submit annual progress reports and track student employment in the steel industry post-graduation.
