STFM Research Paper of the Year Award

About this program

The Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) offers the Research Paper of the Year Award to recognize an outstanding research paper published in a peer-reviewed journal during the preceding July 1–June 30 period. The selected paper is honored based on research quality and potential impact; its lead author receives a commemorative award, complimentary registration to the STFM Annual Spring Conference, and presents the paper at the conference. Eligible papers must have an STFM member as first author and meet the specified publication period. Nominations, including a copy of the paper and a letter describing its impact and importance to patients’ health and well-being, are due annually by November 8.
