STP Award for Promoting Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

Society for the Teaching of Psychology (APA Division 2) offers the STP Award for Promoting Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging to recognize instructors who advance DEIB and social justice in psychology teaching and mentoring; the award includes $1,500 or up to $1,500 in travel reimbursement to attend STP’s Annual Conference on Teaching and a plaque. Applicants must be teachers of psychology at any type of institution and at any career stage and must be current STP members; contributions are judged relative to career stage and priority may be given to those who have not previously received the award. Required materials include a cover sheet with contact information, proof of STP membership, a DEIB-focused CV, and evidence illustrating the award criteria (e.g., teaching philosophy, student evaluations, sample materials, letters of support, mentoring evidence) with ~75-word summaries for each item. Submissions are made via the STP website (login required) and are due February 1 of the award year.
