STP Civic Engagement Award

About this program

Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP, APA Division 2) offers the STP Civic Engagement Award to recognize leadership in applying psychological science to benefit local, national, or global communities; the award includes $1,500 (or up to $1,500 travel reimbursement for STP’s Annual Conference on Teaching) and a plaque. Applicants must be STP members, and STP encourages submissions from colleagues with underrepresented or diverse backgrounds who can demonstrate sustained community impact or the incorporation of civic-engagement pedagogies. Applications (due January 15; decisions by March 1) require a cover letter describing contributions and impacts, a current CV, and two letters of support including one from a community partner.
