STP Early Career Travel Grant Program

About this program

The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP) offers the Early Career Travel Grant Program to defray costs of attending psychology teaching conferences or conferences with a significant teaching-of-psychology component, awarding about five grants per cycle of up to $1,000 each. Awards are made twice yearly (deadlines April 1 and October 1) with decisions notified within one month; the April deadline funds conferences after April of that year and the October deadline funds conferences taking place in the following calendar year. Applicants must be STP members and qualify as Early Career Psychologists (within 10 years of beginning to teach psychology and not a student), with priority given to first-time recipients and those presenting scholarship-of-teaching-and-learning research. Recipients must submit a 1–2 paragraph follow-up report, follow Travel Reimbursement Guidelines and submit an expense report to receive reimbursement, and applications require login to submit.
