Strategic Research Grant - AASM Foundation

About this program

The AASM Foundation’s Strategic Research Grant supports investigator-initiated, high-impact research addressing knowledge gaps in sleep-disorder diagnosis and care, AASM clinical practice guideline implementation, or AASM strategic goals in awareness, practice success, and technology implementation. Awards provide up to $250,000 for three years (Category I), $100,000 for two years (Category II), or $50,000 for one year (Category III), with indirect costs capped at 8%. Eligible applicants are sleep scientists holding a master’s-level degree or higher, including international applicants whose institutions can accept U.S. dollars; applicants must submit an LOI by October 19, 2026, before being invited to submit a full application. Proposals should demonstrate significance, rigor, feasibility, strategic alignment, and attention to sleep-health equity, and must not involve financial conflicts or scientific/budgetary overlap with other funded work.
