Student Chapter – Internship Grants (John R. Gentille Foundation)

About this program

John R. Gentille Foundation (JRGF) offers Student Chapter Internship Grants to student chapters, employers, and affiliated associations to support student participation in mechanical construction industry events, networking, education, and to offset employer training costs that facilitate internships and full‑time hires. Grants provide up to $500 per intern and up to $1,000 per full‑time new hire to support conference attendance or placement in the mechanical contracting industry. Applicants must submit by the Faculty or Industry Advisor, include a jobsite/company photo, and may submit only one application per school per grant type; eligible interns and hires must be active participants in a student chapter at a 4‑year university, employed in mechanical contracting, and internships must be at least eight weeks. Applications are due January 15 for the prior calendar year’s placements (e.g., 2027 grants cover Jan–Dec 2026); 2026 applications are closed and 2027 forms will be available September 14, 2026.
