Student Endowed Award (SfAA)

About this program

Offered by the Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) Student Committee, the Student Endowed Award provides one $750 award to help cover student membership and travel costs to attend the SfAA Annual Meeting and includes a one‑year SfAA membership with subscriptions to Human Organization and Practicing Anthropology. Eligible applicants are undergraduate or graduate students (domestic or international) enrolled for part of the current year in anthropology, applied social sciences, or related fields, must plan to attend the SfAA Annual Meeting, and must not be current or former Student Committee officers; SfAA membership is not required to apply. Applications require a short essay (maximum 500 words) addressing how applied theories and methods have influenced the applicant’s research or career goals and how SfAA participation would advance those goals, with uploads accepted as .doc, .docx, or .pdf.
