Student Endowed Award

About this program

The Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) offers one $750 Student Endowed Award to help defray travel costs for attendance at its Annual Meeting; the award also includes a one-year SfAA membership with subscriptions to Human Organization and Practicing Anthropology. Undergraduate and graduate students—domestic or international—in anthropology, applied social sciences, or related fields may apply, and SfAA membership is not required. Applicants must have been enrolled during part of the current year, attend the Annual Meeting, and submit a short essay of up to 500 words addressing how applied theories and methods have influenced their goals and how SfAA participation would support them; current or former Student Committee officers are ineligible. Applications are due December 20, with results announced in January.
