Student Endowed Award

About this program

The Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) Student Committee offers one $750 Student Endowed Award to help cover student membership and travel to the SfAA Annual Meeting and includes a one‑year SfAA membership with subscriptions to Human Organization and Practicing Anthropology. Eligible applicants are currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students (domestic or international) in anthropology, applied social sciences, or related fields who were enrolled for part of the current year and who will attend the SfAA Annual Meeting; current and former Student Committee officers are ineligible and SfAA membership is not required to apply. Applicants must submit an online application via the SfAA form including a single essay (max 500 words) on how applied theories and methods have influenced their research or career goals and how SfAA participation would help, in DOC, DOCX, or PDF format by December 20 (year unspecified); results are announced in January.
