Student Travel Awards Named for Society Members

About this program

American Society of Pharmacognosy (ASP) offers multiple named and general student travel awards to help graduate students defray travel costs to the ASP annual meeting and to honor distinguished members; named awards include the David Carew, Jerry McLaughlin, and Waqar H. Bhatti travel awards ($600 each) while Lynn Brady and general student grants have unspecified amounts. Eligible applicants are graduate students submitting abstracts to present (poster or talk) at the annual meeting; applications must include a 1–3 page synopsis of the work to be presented, a curriculum vitae, and an advisor’s letter of justification/recommendation. Awards are contingent on acceptance by the Scientific Program Committee, are paid at the annual meeting after presentation, require applicants to initially cover registration and travel costs, and are non-transferable; all applicants will be considered for multiple named and general awards.
