Sumner J. Yaffe Lifetime Achievement Award in Pediatric Pharmacology and Therapeutics

The Pediatric Pharmacy Association awards the Sumner J. Yaffe Lifetime Achievement Award to recognize significant, sustained contributions to pediatric pharmacology and therapeutics that advance safe and effective medication use in children. Eligible nominees are well‑recognized national/international leaders from academic, industry, or regulatory sectors who are at least 25 years beyond their post‑graduate training; nominees need not be PPA members but must be able to present at the PPA Annual Meeting. Nominations (by any PPA member or Yaffe Committee member) require a letter describing the nominee’s key achievements and a current CV, submitted to the Chair of the Yaffe Committee via the application portal (opens August 1, closes November 1). The award includes a 1‑hour Annual Meeting lecture, manuscript submission to the Journal of Pediatric Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and a $1,500 honorarium plus annual meeting registration; recipients are chosen by a senior Yaffe Selection Committee.
