The YTT Northern Chumash Tribe is leading a fundraising campaign to raise $17.4 million by July 15, 2025, to reclaim a 350-acre ancestral property known as the old Cayucos Abalone Farm. This initiative aims to restore traditional practices, preserve cultural heritage, and protect the land, aligning with the tribe’s 10,000-year lineage in the San Luis Obispo region. The campaign is open to the general public, inviting anyone to contribute to the tribe’s sovereignty and cultural revival efforts.
