Surrey Archaeological Society Research Committee Grants

About this program

Surrey Archaeological Society’s Research Committee offers grants of up to £2,500 to support archaeological and historical research that advances understanding of Surrey; larger awards are referred to the Trustees and the Committee meets quarterly (urgent applications may be decided between meetings by authorised officers). Applicants must demonstrate how their project will further the county’s archaeology or history. Applications should include a Project Design outlining objectives, rationale, methodology, personnel, budget, archiving, write‑up and dissemination; application forms and guidelines are available from the Research Centre at Abinger and on the Society’s website and should be sent to the Secretary of the Research Committee.
