Systematic Review Award (SRA)

About this program

European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) funds the Systematic Review Award (SRA) to support high-quality, Cochrane-methodology systematic reviews in cataract, refractive and corneal medicine/surgery, offering up to six awards of €10,000 each plus up to €3,000 for Open Access publishing fees. Awardees are expected to complete the review within one year and submit first to the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery; if published elsewhere the paper must be Open Access. Lead applicants must be ESCRS members and may be ophthalmologists, MD/PhD researchers, or ophthalmic nurses with research experience holding a clinical or academic post (one application per lead); current ESCRS Research Committee members, Executive, Trustees, Council/co-opted members (and their departments) and applicants from specified sanctioned territories are ineligible.
