About this program
Humanities Tennessee and the Tennessee Association of Museums (TAM) offered joint scholarships to send up to two representatives per organization to TAM’s 2026 “Solidarity” conference (March 11–13, Union City, TN), covering conference registration, all conference meals, a one-year organizational TAM membership, and a travel stipend up to $250 for recipients outside Obion County. Recipients remained responsible for travel beyond the stipend, lodging, incidentals, and any pre/post‑conference events. Eligibility was limited to volunteers without museum‑related backgrounds who work with nonprofit museums or organizations starting a museum (organizations with paid, professionally trained staff were ineligible), with preference given to organizations new to TAM; the application deadline has passed.
