About this program

The Alzheimer’s Association’s Tau Pipeline Enabling Program V (T-PEP) provides up to $750,000 for two-year translational projects advancing potential therapies for tauopathies, including Alzheimer’s disease, PSP, and FTD. Funds support candidate selection, lead optimization, in vivo proof-of-concept, and IND-enabling studies; compound or target discovery projects are not eligible. Academic institutions, nonprofits, and small for-profit companies may apply, with preference for companies employing 50 or fewer people, and the PI must be a full-time employee of the applicant organization. A Letter of Intent is required by May 28, 2026, through ProposalCentral, with invited applicants submitting full applications by August 14, 2026.
