The Belle Da Costa Greene Award

About this program

The Medieval Academy of America offers the annual Belle Da Costa Greene Award of $2,000 to support research and travel, including archival visits, conference attendance, or to facilitate writing and research. Selection is based on the quality of the project proposal, the applicant’s budgetary needs, and the anticipated contribution to the applicant’s research and the field, with special consideration for graduate students, emerging junior scholars, adjuncts, and unaffiliated scholars. Applicants must be members in good standing of the Medieval Academy as of 15 January of the application year and submit a biographical form, CV, one‑page proposal, and simple budget (up to two letters of recommendation optional); the award is adjudicated by the Academy’s Inclusivity and Diversity Prize Committee.
