The Bill Pallister Travelling Fellowship

About this program

ACTACC offers the Bill Pallister Travelling Fellowship, funded from a bequest to provide approximately £5,000 annually to support a trainee or consultant within three years of appointment to visit an overseas centre of interest. Awards are normally paid to a single applicant but may be divided, and are not usually intended for attendance at courses or conferences unless there is clear benefit to the wider ACTACC membership. Applicants must be current ACTACC members by the closing date (annual deadline 31 December), submit an application form with CV and an outline of the proposed visit, and provide written confirmation of remaining funding if the award will part‑fund the activity. Recipients must produce a report for the ACTACC newsletter and give an oral or poster presentation at an ACTACC scientific meeting within 12 months; applications are adjudicated by the ACTACC Education Committee and winners are announced at the Spring Scientific Meeting.
